Low taper with a side-parted curly quiff
A visible natural side part with large dark curls lifted into a high forward-curving quiff, separated side-directed top and flatter opposite side, low localized temple taper. Compare the front, both side references and rear view to discuss the outline with your barber.
What to ask your barber
I would like a low taper at the temples and nape, retaining the fuller hair above it. Keep the natural side part and forward-curving curly quiff. Before cutting, let’s agree whether the shortest edges show skin or visible hair, and choose a finish I can maintain at home.
Build a fuller barber brief ↗How to style this look
- Dry the front upwards and back, guiding the curve with your fingers or a brush.
- Work a small amount of paste, cream or pomade through the retained length to choose a softer or firmer finish.
- Build the front shape gradually and keep the shorter sides light rather than coating them with product.
