Low taper with sculpted finger waves
Short defined S-shaped finger waves laid close to scalp in flowing parallel ridges, small temple taper and neatly tapered lower nape, dark retained upper side hair. Compare the front, both side references and rear view to discuss the outline with your barber.
What to ask your barber
I would like a low taper at the temples and nape, retaining the fuller hair above it. Keep the sculpted S-wave pattern close to the scalp. Before cutting, let’s agree whether the shortest edges show skin or visible hair, and choose a finish I can maintain at home.

- Set the fringe or top in the direction shown while the hair is damp.
- Dry gently, then work a small amount of light paste or cream through the retained length if useful.
- Adjust the dry shape with your fingers and keep product off the very short edges.
